Danyon was bred by Arfaja Stud in 1994. A very strong colt with lovely deep kind eyes. A son of the Morocco mare Wellworth Leilani by Somerled son Silver Somerio, making him a half brother to Arfaja Harlan and Arfaja Robard. Danyon came to the stud as a 5yr old with the expectation that he would compliment the Fenwick Pananche daughters. Danyon was a very powerful horse, yet possessed a very gentle nature. His foals to date are proving to be excellent saddle horses. One example of this is his pure crabbet son Ty, started under saddle by his young 14yr old owner.
He was shown very successfully only a handful of times at the International Crabbet Convention in Melbourne in 2000 and his last appearance as Supreme Crabbet Arabian in Victoria in 2002. Due to unforseen circumstances he bred very little but has left five pure crabbet colts and six pure crabbet fillies to carry on his line. The end of 2006 saw Danyon’s untimely death, which was a huge loss for the stud.
